The artist

Tiuladokow Artwork is the creative endeavor of Elsei Tellei, a Palauan artist and designer skilled in both analog and digital disciplines.

Tiuladokow is the namesake of her childhood home in Airai, Palau, meaning the branch (tiul a) of the tree Hernandia sonora (doko), a tree which commonly grows in the sand near the ocean. In turn, Tiuladokow was named for Uchuladokow, her paternal grandparents’ home in Melekeok, Palau.

She has over 20 years of experience creating, and has been a professional artist for 6, establishing a small business taking on client-based projects in her home country of Palau in 2020.

In 2018, Elsei began regularly attending local events as a face painter. This evolved into selling merchandise with her original designs, and from there a thriving business of small-batch, locally-designed t-shirts, stickers, and merchandise reminiscent of Palau lifestyle, aesthetic, and spirit.

Since 2025, she has taken a leap of faith and invested full-time into her business, embracing the title of working artist.
